A crane is a film tool for camera movement incorporating a boom (or jib) for taking high and low angle shots. Basically it is the full camera support device, while a jib is the arm that projects from the c amer a cr ane where the c amer a mounts, allowing a c amer a oper ator to control the booming, swinging, tilting and panning of the camera.

A camera crane helps the movie operators shoot video from a far distance. According to the different types of cameras, the camera cranes are divided as DV cranes, professional cranes etc.
